Dualla Show 2024 Launch Morning

A wonderful morning was had at the historic Ballyowen House to officially launch Dualla Show 2024! Sincere thanks to the Maher family for their extremely generous hospitality.

Helping launch the event was Cllr Declan Burgess who spoke warmly about the importance of show’s like Dualla to the surrounding areas.

By far the most notable guest was UNCLE SAM – just one of THREE MONSTER TRUCKS that will be causing mayhem on Sunday 25th August. Driven by Eric Hudson from Courtney’s Circus who will also be providing the amazing free Big Top Circus and daredevil entertainment at Dualla!  Simply not to be missed.

A huge thanks to Trudi Lalor, Paddy O’Brien and Dee Morrissey who entertained the crowded breakfast room with song and cheer – they’ll be accompanied by the other stars of country Olivia Douglas, Gerry Guthrie, Shawn Cuddy and Colin Kenny on show day and is sponsored by Borrisoleigh Bottling.

Also in attendance was our main livestock sponsor FBD who are helping make Dualla one of the most anticipated livestock shows in the country. This year Dualla will host the Growvite All-Ireland Aberdeen-Angus Club Bull & Heifer of the Year final. We were delighted to have Shane Murphy from the Aberdeen-Angus Society with the stunning cup, and Mark O’Rouke and Stephen Lyons from Univet who are sponsoring the final.

One of the biggest attractions at Dualla is the tractor pulling which is sponsored this year by Campion Insurance. A big thank you to Paul Meade of Campion for supporting the launch and making this amazing event possible.

Diarmuid and Fergus English from the Tipperary Grip  Club also took part in the launch and will be at Dualla Show on the 25th with  Northern Ireland Grip and Leviathan Training for an Arm Wrestling demo and competition featuring IFA World and recently crowned European Champion Adrian O’Dwyer. Adrian is a former Olympic high-jumper turned professional arm wrestler) and will be helping with exhibition matches throughout the day on professional Arm Wrestling tables plus a variety of fun Grip Challenges for adults and kids to try. The English brothers have already achieved pro status with another brother Cillian the current Irish Pro -75kg Champion.
